Julio Marín Díaz

Julio Marín Díaz (1995, Alcalá de Guadaíra, Seville) is a clarinetist, saxophonist, and composer. He studied at ESMUC (Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya) and at Berklee College of Music, where he received a 95% scholarship. He has taken classes with teachers such as Perico Sambeat, Llibert Fortuny, and Yoel Páez, among others.

He has shared the stage with musicians and artists such as Álex Conde, Miron Rafajlovic, José Manuel Posada, Miguel Lamas, Sandra Carrasco, Voro García, Rita Payés, Sergio Martínez, Perico Sambeat, Yoel Páez, Álvaro Gandul, and Antonio Banderas, among many others.

He currently has a record as leader, El Retorno de Saturno (Blue Asteroids, 2022). Thanks to his versatility, he has also participated in over twenty records as a sideman, which has led him to perform at festivals such as Noches del Botánico in Madrid, Valencia Jazz Festival, Villanos del Jazz, Huesca es Jazz, Mazarrón Rejazz, Loraldia Festival, Festival de la Mercè, Mercat de Música Viva de Vic, and countless concert venues across Spain.

He is currently active as a musician leading his own project, which he balances with bands such as Álex Conde y los Indultados, The Ritual (Álvaro Ocón's sextet), the clarinet trio La Doceava, and the pop orchestra of the SOHO Theater coordinated by Antonio Banderas.
